Exciting News
This blog will soon be a part of the family of sports writing at www.crowdrush.com. Crowd Rush is a great website my friend Jared Macke and I have had in the works for almost a year, and it's finally ready for launch!
Thanks for coming. If you like the site, please, bookmark it (CTRL+D), and come back. Better yet, tell your friends. There's new stuff every day.

A Quick Note
Just a quick word on the subject of bias: I cover five college football conferences. The only team I've ever loved my whole life is the Iowa State Cyclones, and that'll never change. But in the Big Ten, MAC, C-USA, SEC and ACC, I couldn't give two shits who wins the games I cover.
The big project I'm working on right now is a book on MAC football in the year 2007. I travel to one MAC game every weekend and pay for it out of pocket because there's a lot of great football being played there that the college sports world needs to know about.
The picture at this page's top is from Kelly/Shorts Stadium at Central Michigan. Of the 600 or so pictures I've taken at 5 MAC stadiums this year, it's my favorite. Has nothing to do with liking CMU more than anyone else. Just my favorite picture.
To learn more about my book or travels, please contact me at brian.golden@gmail.com.
I am the Artistic Director of Theatre Seven of Chicago, as well as the Director of Sex Signals, a touring play about sexual assault prevention that visits 500 colleges and military bases a year. Neither of which has much to do with what's going on around here.
